FEATURES
Yamaha Innovations and Technology
NEW Yamaha 1.9L HO Marine Engine:
This new 1898cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder, 16-valve High Output marine engine replaces the Yamaha 1812cc High Output motor that powered the previous year's 252 model. This more powerful engine provides quicker and smoother acceleration and a higher top speed. This is achieved through the engine's increased displacement, optimized intake and exhaust paths, and a 10 percent larger throttle body for more power and torque.
NEW DRiVE X® Low-Speed Handling:
A combination of Yamaha’s DRiVE® paddle control system that moves the boat forward and aft while always keeping the driver’s hands on the steering wheel, but adds an allnew steering with wheel functionality that slowly moves the boat starboard or port, rotate 360° on its axis, and holds the boat against the dock for quick loading and unloading of passengers. (Exclusive to 255XD model)
NEW Chil™️-Cool Technology® for Upholstery: In addition to looking great, the Chil Cool fabric also feels great, reducing the surface temperature by roughly 20 degrees and dissipating heat much quicker than standard vinyl. (Available on select models only or color combinations)
NEW Helm Wireless Charging: Convenient wireless charging station integrated into the custom-fit smartphone holder, allowing you to effortlessly charge compatible devices without the hassle of cords and cables.
Integrated Yamaha WakeBooster®: With the simple push of a button on the Connext® Touchscreen, integrated WakeBoosters can be deployed on either side of the boat for wakesurfing.
Integrated Triple Ballast System: The ballast tanks are filled and emptied using the Connext® Touchscreen, which is located at the helm. The touchscreen allows you to control the ballast tanks individually or together, and it also has a number of presets for different wakesurfing conditions. Maximum ballast weight is 1,600 lbs.
Wake-Inducing Hull Design: Shaped to more displace water, which helps to create a larger wake.
Patented Jet Drive System: This advanced jet propulsion system utilizes an internal impeller rather than an external propeller. This design offers numerous advantages, such as shallow water operation, enhanced maneuverability, reduced maintenance, and the peace of mind of knowing that there is no lower unit or propeller at the stern of the boat.
Patented Clean-Out Ports:
Exclusive to Yamaha Boats, the patented clean-out ports is a convenient way to remove debris that may get caught in the jet pump. This can help to prevent damage to the jet pump and keep it running smoothly. The clean-out ports are located above water at the stern of the boat and are easy to access.
Connext® Helm Control System: Yamaha's award-winning Connext helm control system and touchscreen is the hub for entertainment functions, GPS mapping, saved towing preferences, and relevant boat system data when underway.
Yamaha Articulating Keel: This patented system extends the boat's keel and moves in perfect relation to the boat's jet pump nozzles to provide directional stability and maneuverability. Steering response is immediate. Straight-line tracking at all speeds is effortless, and cutting through chop is a breeze. Drivers enjoy maximum control while maneuvering at low speeds. (Excluding DRiVE X models)
Hull Construction:
Vacuum Infusion Material: Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Yamaha Innovations and Technology
Quiet Cruise Noise Reduction System:
A system of features that work together to reduce vibration noise levels in Yamaha boats. These features include engine compartment insulation, hull insulation, and jet pump and exhaust system design.
